Keep your holiday party prep simple when you make these non-alcoholic holiday drink recipes.
No holiday soiree would be complete without eggnog. You can buy a pre-made concoction, but why not try this decadent recipe from Delish writer Lindsay Funston? You’ll need two cups of milk, 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon (plus, extra for topping), 1/2 teaspoon of ground nutmeg, 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract, six large egg yolks, 1/2 cup of granulated sugar, 1 cup of heavy cream (and whipped cream for extra sweetness). Combine the spices and milk in a small saucepan. Use low heat to bring the concoction to a low boil. While the mixture is slowly heating up, whisk the egg yolks with sugar. Once the yolks look pale, slowly pour in the contents from the saucepan. Combine using a whisk and pour the complete mixture into a saucepan over medium heat. Once the mixture is “slightly thick,” take off the stove and add the heavy cream. Chill in the fridge until guests arrive. Top with a dash of cinnamon and dollop of whipped cream.
This Sparkling Spritzer recipe from Delish is sweet, refreshing and looks brilliant in a wine glass. Combine 1/2 cup of pinot noir non-alcoholic sparkling wine soda, 1/2 cup of ginger ale and one splash of fresh lime juice.
